> Parking
on Campus for Marine Discovery

If you will be arriving by
school bus:
Please indicate if you will be arriving by bus on the information
form. We need to notify the U of A Parking and Transportation
office that your bus will be parked on campus. Please ask your
bus driver to park on the west side of National Championship Way
between baseball and football stadiums. See map.
To drop off students, from Campbell,
turn west on University Blvd/3rd St (at red and blue sculpture
on UA mall).
Proceed West to Cherry (stop sign). Turn south (L)
to Enke Drive. The bus can stop briefly to let off students
on Cherry at corner of Enke.
If you will be arriving in private
cars:
Please indicate if you will be arriving by car on the information
form. The closest parking is a metered parking lot immediately
south of the Science Library. Due to construction this lot is
very small. The cost for the lot is $.25 per 15 minutes. In general,
parking spaces have been available until 8:15, by 8:30 the lot
has been filling up.
Alternatives are the Second Street Garage (Administration Parking
Garage) located on the corner of Mountain and Second St, or the
6th Street Garage located on 6th Street just east of Park Avenue.
These are the only locations on campus where we can guarantee
you a parking space.
The cost of the garage is $4.00 per car (no time limit). Please
let us know in advance if you will be using either the Second
Street Garage or the 6th Street Garage, we need to reserve spaces
in the garage for your vehicles.
When entering garage: take a ticket, after the workshop but before
leaving the garage present ticket to the garage attendant and
inform attendant that you were on campus for “Marine Discovery.”
The attendant will validate each drivers ticket. When entering
if you find a “Lot is full” sign, intercom attendant,
inform them you are on campus for “Marine Discovery”
and they will let you in. You do not pay for parking at the garage.
You will pay Marine Discovery in class the day of your workshop.
If you encounter a "lot is full" sign, intercom attendant,
say you are there for Marine Discovery, and he will let you in.
If you use the Second Street Garage one of our workshop presenters
will be waiting to greet your group at the southeast corner of
the garage. If you are using the 6th Street Garage we will meet
your group on the northeast corner of the garage.
